Purpose
The Vehicle on Hire by Category Report returns the
percentage of vehicles that are currently out on hire. It displays the total
number of vehicles, the number on hire and then the percentage.
You are able to run this report either by Location or by
Region.
Accessing the Report
Reports > Daily Activity Reports > Vehicle on Hire
Percentage > Vehicle On by Category Report
Parameters
The following list of parameters can be used when running
this report.

Location |
The option here is either Location or Region. This means the report will either be run where the results are grouped by Locations or by Regions.
The current location of the vehicle is used in this report. |

Include Non-Revenue Bookings |
You can choose to either include or exclude Non-Revenue bookings. |

You are able to drill down on the Category Type to see the
information broken down by Vehicle Category.
The image below shows the top-level result returned when
running this report.
The image below shows the screen that is displayed when you
drill down on a Category Type. You can see that the results are shown in a
pop-up window.
Fields
The following table contains a description for each of the
fields which appear in the first screen of report results.

Location/Region |
Depending upon whether you chose Location or Region, this will be either the Location or the Region.
The Current Location of the vehicle is used to determine the location/region for this report. |

Category Type |
The Category Type of the vehicles. |
|
Total Vehicles |
The total number of vehicles where their current location matches the location/region being shown in this line of the report results. They also have the Category Type being reported. |

On Hire |
The total number of vehicles for this location/region which are currently out on hire.
Depending upon the option you chose, this will either include or exclude Non-Revenue bookings. |

On Hire % |
This is the calculation of On Hire/Total Vehicles. |

Category Type.

Location/Region |
Depending upon whether you chose Location or Region, this will be the Location or the Region.

This is the calculation of On Hire/Total Vehicles. |
Points to Note
As the Total Vehicle count is based on the current location
of each vehicle, this value may change as bookings are updated.
For one-way bookings the current location of the vehicle
changes to the drop-off location as soon as the status is changed to
"Hired". Therefore in this case, both the Total Vehicle count and On Hire
count will record one-way bookings in the drop-off location.
The On Hire figure is based on the number of bookings
currently recorded as hired. Therefore as vehicles are recorded as
"returned" or "hired" these figures will change during the
day.
