Purpose
The Vehicle Performance Report shows the total revenue and
Utilisation rates for each individual vehicle, grouped by vehicle category. The
total revenue is based on the number of days hired in the reporting period.
For example, if a vehicle is hired out from the 1st of March
to the 31st of March at $50 per day and the Vehicle Performance Report is run
with a date range from the 1st of March to the 10th of March the total
revenue printed for the vehicle will be 10 Days @ $50 = $500.
It also shows the net daily dollar average per vehicle as
well as the gross daily dollar average per vehicle. The net daily dollar
average is computed by dividing the rental revenue by the number of days hired
while the gross daily dollar average is computed by dividing the total rental
revenue by the number of days hired.
Accessing the Report
To open the Vehicle Performance Report follow the steps
below.
Reports > Monthly Financial Reports > Operating Control

Parameters
The table below describes the parameters that can be changed
when running the Vehicle Performance Report.

Pickup Location
|
Select to generate the report for vehicles at the selected location.
|

Owning/ current location
|
Whether the selected location applies to a vehicle’s base/ owning location or where the vehicle is located currently.

Vehicle Category Type
|
Generate report for the selected category type.
|
|
Vehicle Category
|
Generate report for the selected category.
|
|
Rego/ Fleet#
|
The vehicle’s registration/ fleet number. If a value is entered it overwrites the selected location, category type and category.
|
|
Date Range
|
Date range to generate report for.
|

No. of Contracts
|
The number of contracts over the selected date range, e.g. if there were 4 reservations for the vehicleover the selected date range then there were 4 contracts

|
Rental Revenue
|
The revenue from the rental, includes only revenue from rental rates. Excludes extras.
|
|
Extra Revenue
|
Revenue sourced from extras, for example extra fees
|
|
Total Revenue
|
The total revenue, rental revenue plus extra revenue
|
|
Percentage of Total
|
The vehicle’s total revenue as a percentage of the total revenue (all vehicles/ categories) over the selected date range
|
|
DDA Net
|
The average daily net revenue for the vehicle (rental revenue ÷ days rented)
|
|
DDA Gross
|
The average daily gross revenue for the vehicle (total revenue ÷ days rented)
|
|
Maintenance Costs
|
The maintenance costs for the vehicle over the selected date range
|
|
Net Revenue
|
The total revenue of the vehicle minus the maintenance costs

Points to Note
Note that while the location parameter is described as “Pickup
Location” the location only applies to the vehicle owning location or the
vehicle’s current location.
