Post Migration Function Changes

As part of the Azure Migration the following functionality changes have been made to RCM:

  • User Management
  • Email Templates
  • Sending of Emails from RCM
  • Email Servers

User Management

As part of the Azure Migration we upgraded the User Maintenance screen. It has been re-designed to make it more intuitive to use. New actions have also been added to allow you greater control over your RCM users. For example, you will no longer need to contact RCM support to enable your users to use TFA. You will now be able to do this yourself.

Email Templates

As part of the Azure Migration we have re-organised where you can gain access to all the options to edit the various email templates that are available within RCM. At the moment you are able to edit the various email templates from the following locations:

  • The Agreement & Other Templates option under the System Setup menu.
  • The Confirmation Template, Invoice Template and Quotation Template options that are also available under the System Setup menu.
  • The Email Templates option that is available under the System Setup Menu.
  • The Emails Set up screen which is available by choosing the System Parameters option on the System Setup menu.
  • The Online Email Template option available under the Web Site Interface menu.

As part of the Azure migration we have streamlined this, and all of the options are now available from the one menu item.

Sending of Emails From RCM

The function of sending emails from Rental Car Manager has been re-designed to make it more intuitive and also allow you to view the email and make changes before it is sent. You still send the emails from the same place within RCM, the Booking Details screen.

Email Servers

We have implemented a change in our system which will allow you to setup the details for your email server and then any emails sent from RCM will be sent using your email server rather than ours.

If you continue using RCM’s email server then your emails will be sent out with a sending address of noreply@rentalcarmanager.com rather than your email address. We highly recommend that you set up your own Email Server.
